Homebake 2011 will host its inaugural Comedy Stage at this year’s festival, presented by the Sydney Comedy Festival, it will feature some of Australia’s best loved comedians as well as the very best emerging artists in a rollicking showcase of world-class comedy.
Jorge Menidis, the Sydney Comedy Festival Director, is delighted with the partnership and sees it as a great way for comedy to be celebrated. “Homebake is such a unique and awesome Sydney event that it is truly exciting that it will now feature some of the best Australian comedy talent that we can get our hands on. Live comedy has exploded in popularity in recent years and the Homebake Comedy Stage presented by Sydney Comedy Festival hopes to have a lasting positive impact on the growth of the local industry.
